What is your office location?
My office serves Oregon and Arizona virtually, so I have no physical address for my practice.
What are your hours of operation?
My hours are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, and closed during holidays.
What is the length of a session?
Sessions are 50 minutes.
Do you take insurance?
No. I do not take insurance because insurance limits the number of sessions and what kinds of therapy we can cover.
How do I set up an initial appointment?
Please call to schedule or request an initial appointment on the client portal link.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require greater than 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of an appointment. A no-show is charged at my full-rate.
What are the age ranges of your clients?
Adults from 18 yrs. old to throughout the life span.

I work with men, women, and couples.
What does a session involve?
The first few minutes start with calming exercises to organize thoughts, emotions, and body. Next, we will review the homework assignment. After that, the focus is on how the week went, processing challenging thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Near the close of our session, you will express what you learned during the session, and I will assign homework.
How long does therapy take?
The length of time varies greatly. A few clients might have breakthroughs in the initial appointment, while the vast majority need a longer commitment to make a lasting change.
What is the frequency of sessions?
We meet once a week, or as often as needed.
Do you assign homework between sessions?
I assign homework weekly. Homework provides an excellent opportunity to continue momentum and progress from each therapy session. Clients who are consistent with homework make the most progress.
What about worksheets?
I firmly believe that worksheets don’t work. Homework will become clear from the dialogues in the session. I would not expect a square to fit into a circle. Therefore, I tailor assignments to suit the client’s needs.
What modalities do you use?
I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, emotion-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, person-centered therapy, and Mindfulness. I use whatever works best for each client.
What is your professional training and experience?
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and have over 10,000 clinical hours with clients. With rigorous training and vast experience, I can help you achieve your treatment goals.

Expect therapy to be a place where you are talking, exploring, processing, without any advice giving. I believe the answers to living your resilience and thriving best, are within you, and my job is to provide the processing space to discover it. My approach is holistic, we look at every aspect of your life that contributes to the presenting problem.

What happens at the end of therapy?
When you accomplish treatment goals, expect to hear a summary of your hard work. The empowerment is palpable during this summary session.
What is the most rewarding part of therapy for you?
When clients make a breakthrough, gain real insight, and then apply it to their life, allowing them to make a quantum leap forward for hope and the possibility of change are the most rewarding experiences for me.
Is laughter good medicine?
It depends. Laughter could be avoidance or release of tension or can make pain abate.
